Manufacturing Process of Casting for KI Vietnam factory
Kingdom Flow Control Co., Ltd. (KI) Vietnam Factory are committed to providing our customers with high-quality valve products. Today, through photos, we will introduce you the casting process, giving you a deeper understanding of the production techniques and environment behind KI products in Vietnam.
Here are the casting process of KI Vietnam Factory:
Wax Injection: Injecting wax into the mold and make a wax pattern with the same shape as the product.
Pattern Tree Assembly: Assembling the wax pattern to the gate.
Shell Making: Coating the wax pattern tree assembly with refractory powders for around five layers and drying it under controlled temperature and humidity.
Dewaxing by Heating: The wax will be melted from the shell when heating the coated pattern tree assembly for around 30 minutes.
Sintering: The shell is heated at a high temperature to provide additional heat resistance strength to prevent cracks during pouring.
Pouring: Analyzing the test coupon of every furnace to ensure the chemical composition before pouring.
Vibrating: Vibrating the shell on the pattern tree assembly and the casting parts will reveal accordingly.
Cutting, Grinding and Shot Blasting: Cutting the single pattern from the tree assembly and grinding the gate to ensure the gate height. To brighten the surface by shot blasting for serval cycles.
Heat Treatment: Conducting the heat treatment to improve the physical and mechanical properties of casting parts for better machinability.
Pickling: Removing the adherence of the oxide on the stainless casting parts and enhancing the corrosion resist ability of its surface by acid chemical liquid.
Machining: Machining the casting parts according to the required specifications.
Pressure Testing: Pressure testing is a critical procedure used to ensure valves or fittings do not leak under specified pressures.
